To date, the primary purpose of North End Supporters has been to try to create and deploy tifo, largely produced by a small but dedicated group of us who form the core of the group. A lot of emails have gone around between us and I believe we have been remiss in not bringing some of the topics to a general, more public discussion.
1) Most importantly, where do we want to go with this group. Would we like to try to form a dedicated "supporters section" in the North End, or stay "spread out" and hope to spread virally through all sections. This raises two other important questions: How many people do we have who would be willing to join a "supporters section" and where would we sit? The second question is the logistically difficult one, which would have to involve the F.O. and perhaps displacing people.
Please give us feedback on this.
2) Future tifo projects and better participation: I was personally greatly disappointed in the lack of energy in the North End for Saturday's Toronto match, as it seemed the "stand/sit" ratio was at an all -time low. It is the primary goal of this group to cultivate a "supporters culture" within our end of the stadium, but this requires a greater level or participation in simple things like joining chants (getting our cues from the Brougham End, or chants that start organically in certain areas of our end).
I would also like to throw open the discussion of what people would like to see for our last two home matches in the way of tifo. Any flag, banner, two-pole, or other ideas? Should we deploy the table rolls again? Should we try an overhead banner display? Let's hear your input, folks!
Now, this isn't to say that anyone sitting in the North End can't just take their own initiative and create something, as some of you have done. I encourage anyone and everyone to just be thoughtful and make a rail banner to hang, don't be afraid to get on your feet and be loud and wave a flag, and help establish a reputation in the North End!

I agree the participation for the Toronto match could have better. Our section, 151, was abysmal, as we had "individuals" behind us who were classless in there comments to us because we were standing the whole match. Even had an usher come down and ask us to sit down, we kept standing!!!
Hey Chuck, I too sit in 151 and was pretty disappointed. I tried to stand when I could but from where I was (row D) I was always the first to be stanind, the other 3 rows in front of me were not. Alas I had to sit often though because I had a very small child directly behind me and I wanted the kid to be able to see.
As far as questions go... I want to see this spread through the entire north end for sure. I dont want to confine this stuff to just a center section... now I know this will take much more work and probably take longer to come together for you guys... but in the end I think it would turn out so much better.
As far as Tifo, I loved the green and blue streamers you guys had going once. I do like the green and blue flags.
One thing id like to see our north end do above all else... get back to scarfs up. That has completely died off for most of the stadium (minus some supporters groups and a handful of folks in the stands).
Maybe dropping a note in the cup holders prior to the final Dallas game (before the Chivas game) to make sure people bring their scarfs. Its gonna be hard to get people to do this for Chivas because there is no communication with the entire section now. Everyone could do something just simple as holding up the scarfs for the seattle sounders volley chant between ECS and NES. Pretty simple and a good start to see if people are willing to join in.
A side note about all this... please dont ever consider bringing in bullhorns are anything like that in order to organize this. Hopefully this can be done without too much hand holding. Let people gravitate to the group and hopefully if it happens slowly... and in the right way... then it will stick around for an entire season next year.
